Our Story in Abruzzo

From Canada to the hills of Abruzzo, our journey brought us to a place we now proudly call home. We fell in love with its mountains, historic villages, Adriatic coastline, local traditions and relaxed way of life.

Today, we’re happy to share the Abruzzo we love with guests from across Italy and around the world.

Meet Andrea & Ulla

We’re Andrea & Ulla, the hosts of Abruzzo Hills Villa.

After moving from Canada to Italy, we found in Abruzzo the combination we had been looking for — beautiful landscapes, a relaxed way of life, local traditions and genuine hospitality.

We personally take care of the villa and enjoy meeting guests from across Italy and from many different parts of the world.

For us, hosting is not simply about providing a place to stay. We want our guests to feel comfortable, welcome and free to enjoy Abruzzo at their own pace.

We live on the property and are available whenever you need us, while always respecting your privacy. The apartment has its own independent entrance and outdoor areas reserved for guests.

Whether you are looking for a quiet beach, a mountain road, a traditional restaurant or a small village away from the usual tourist routes, we are always happy to share our recommendations.

☺Esperienza semplicemente eccezionale, oltre ogni aspettativa! 🌟 Abbiamo soggiornato qui io e la mia amica stanotte e siamo rimaste letteralmente estasiate. La struttura è nuovissima, curata nei minimi dettagli, super pulita e dotata di qualsiasi accessorio possiate desiderare. Non manca davvero nulla per sentirsi coccolati. Il vero valore aggiunto, però, sono i proprietari Andrea e Wula persone di una gentilezza e cordialità uniche. Ci hanno accolto calorosamente, facendoci sentire non semplici clienti, ma come dei vecchi amici ritrovati. Inoltre, un aspetto fondamentale per noi è stato il fattore sicurezza: i proprietari abitano al piano di sopra e hanno tutto sotto controllo. Per due donne che viaggiano da sole, questa è una garanzia impagabile e una tranquillità assoluta che non ha prezzo. Consigliamo questa struttura al 100% e non vediamo l'ora di tornarci. Tutto benissimo ☺Soggiorno perfetto! L'appartamento è nuovo, pulito e ben organizzato. Al nostro arrivo abbiamo trovato tutto l'occorrente: shampoo, bagnoschiuma, caffè, tè, sale, zucchero e persino pastiglie per lavastoviglie e lavatrice. Che sorpresa le due bottiglie di vino di benvenuto! I proprietari sono stati gentilissimi e disponibilissimi, ci hanno detto subito che per qualsiasi cosa erano lì. Anche il nostro cagnolino è stato benissimo e accolto alla grande. Fuori c'è uno spazio molto piacevole. La zona è tranquilla e a soli 15 minuti dal mare. La spiaggia convenzionata è bella e ben attrezzata. Lo consiglio vivamente!

A hidden gem in the mountains near the sea! ☺We had a wonderful stay in Abruzzo! The property is located in a peaceful, quiet area, making it the perfect place to disconnect from the city life. The accommodation is spacious, spotless, and fully equipped with everything you might need for a comfortable stay. We especially enjoyed the sunbeds at Samsara Beach, which made our beach days even more relaxing. The hosts are incredibly kind, welcoming, and friendly and made us feel at home from the very beginning. The communication with them was excellent throughout our stay and when we had a question or needed anything they were always more than happy to help if possible. A heartfelt thank you to Ulla and Andrea for their warm hospitality and for making our stay such an amazing experience. We would gladly return and highly recommend this place to anyone visiting the area. ☹Good to know for future guests: - Since it's located in a small mountain village, you will need a car to get around. There are no grocery stores nearby, so it's best to buy what you need down in the resort area. However, the trade-off is a breathtaking view and absolute peace! - Light sleepers might find the bedroom AC unit a bit noisy. These were just tiny details for us and didn't spoil our stay at all.

Fantastisch verblijf, jammer dat het maar 1 nacht was. We komen zeker terug! ☺Het ontvangst was zeer vriendelijk en we voelden ons gelijk welkom! Het appartement is zeer ruim, keuken met alles erop en eraan. Heerlijk koffie, woonkamer met grote TV, heerlijke bank en ze hadden zelf een extra bedje op de slaapkamer zodat de kinderen met 3 en konden slapen en de woonkamer gewoon woonkamer was! De bedden sliepen heerlijk! Al met al, zeer aan te bevelen!

Une très belle expérience au calme avec des gens très sympathique ☺La maison est très jolie, un très beau paysage au calme vue sur mer et montagne. Les propriétaires sont très gentils, très avenant et la maison très propre et très bien équipée.

They were incredibly kind, friendly, and always happy to help with recommendations and planning our trips. The house was spotless, beautifully maintained, and equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Every detail had been thoughtfully prepared, and we truly appreciated the care and attention the hosts put into making their guests feel welcome. As a lovely surprise, we were greeted with a couple of bottles of delicious local Italian wine, which made our arrival even more special. The location was exactly what we were looking for. The breathtaking mountain views made every morning special, and the beach was only a 10–15 minute drive away, exactly as described on Booking. We highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a peaceful, comfortable, and memorable stay.
